Information

Rally of Scotland Sunday 9 October 2011

Two stages are being run within the Loch Ard Forest:

Loch Chon starts a mile or so west of Stronmacnair, and finishes above Blairvaich. Map here
Start times of this stage: 10.52am and 1.37pm, so expect traffic in Aberfoyle and on the B829 prior to these times. Both rally cars and spectator cars will be driving on the B829, but only spectator cars will be using the Manse Road and Duchray Road areas.

High Corrie starts 1 mile below Blairvaich and follows a long continuous loop out to Drymen Road then back through Clashmore to finish below Deer Craig. Map here.
Start times of this stage: 11.10am and 1.55pm.

The last cars should leave the area around 3.30pm.

There will be ample spectator opportunities, however there will be a charge for cars parking within the forest:

  • Loch Chon: Spectators will be directed through Kinlochard up to Aqueduct area. Map here.
  • High Corrie: This stage may be viewed from several locations, with car parking being controlled at Lochan Spling and Drymen Road. Map here NB there appears to be more than one route into the forest shown from Aberfoyle but we believe this is an error and that all traffic will go over the Manse Road bridge.

Security personnel will be located at car parks and within the forest and police outriders will be on patrol at Manse Road, and throughout the local area. Residents requiring passes to their homes in restricted areas should have received these.

There will be an opportunity to view the National B cars being serviced at the Wool Centre car park around mid-day.
